TRUST and TT — Token Roles
Understand the two-token model used by the DIDLab learning network without relying on unpublished treasury or governance assumptions.
Two different jobs
TRUST
TRUST is the native asset of the DIDLab chain. It is used to pay gas for blockchain transactions such as contract deployment, token transfers, approvals, swaps, and other state-changing calls.
TT
TT (TrustToken) is the DIDLab ERC-20 platform token. It is used in classroom and application workflows where a transferable service/application token is more appropriate than the native gas asset.
- TT contract:
0xe15a77668A01A90c57c8F4De0021e12DF933CBD5 - Network: DIDLab, chain ID
252501
Why students often need both
A wallet can hold TT and still be unable to send it if the wallet has no TRUST for gas. This is why the Faucet & Funding page supports funding native TRUST, TT, or a small Student Starter Pack containing both.
Classroom rule
Treat all DIDLab assets as lab/test assets. Use only the amount needed for an exercise, verify recipient addresses before signing, and use the explorer to confirm the final transaction receipt.
Deeper course topics
Token issuance design, incentive models, treasury policy, liquidity design, AMM behavior, governance, attack scenarios, and economic analysis are reserved for the deeper blockchain course and labs.
